Originally Sammy Davis Jr. sang this song a little bit before Brazil '66 had made a hit with it. The original version is tremendously powerful, I bet. It was written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newly both from Britain, and they dedicated Sammy a wonderful musical play "Stop The World - I want to get off". |
