Pulguksa
Temple(佛国寺) |
January 1, 2005 In the last year 2004, the storm of the Korean Boom has blown all over Japan. Because of Korean TV drama "Winter's Sonata" became a great hit in Japan and Korean idols were coming so often to Japan. I had been living in Korea from 1941 to 1946 with my parents. My family repatriated from Korea to Tokyo in January 1946. I came back to Korea at first time after 42 years since then to participate to the 1st Conference of Asian-Pacific OR Societies (APORS '88) in Soul Korea. We dropped in a historical city Kyon-Joo before the conference. Although I was so impressed by the view of the roofing tilse of the Pulguksa Temple, I hadn't any chance to draw it until this year. This temple is specified for a World Heritage. With best wishes for a prosperous 2005. |
