(223) アル・ジャロウ７６歳で死去

アル・ジャロウが2017年2月12日、ロサンゼルスの病院で死去した。76歳だった。

Al Jarreau passed away in Los Angels on Feb. 12, 2017. He was 76.

はじめて彼の姿を見たのは「We Are The World」の収録番組だった。チック・コリアの”スペイン”を歌っているYou Tubeを聞いてたまげた。あの言葉がぎっしり詰まった歌の言葉の単語がはっきりと聞き取れるのだ。英語の発音がクリヤーな歌手だった。

I saw his face at first time on TV program of "We AreThe World" in 1985. I admired when I found his singing Chick Corea's "Spain" at You Tube. I could hear clearly and exactly all the words of "Spain".

この新聞には６度のグラミーと書いてあるが、ホントは７回です。毎日新聞よ、知らない人は６回だと人に言いふらします。（　⇒　この間のいい加減記事　）

In this newspaper, he won the Grammy six times. But he is seven times Grammy Winner.
