喧騒の20年代に書かれたとは思えない可愛らしい歌だ。Art Landry楽団が最初にレコードを出している。

同じ年にGene Austinも歌っている。
新しいところでは50年代にビング・クロスビーやディーン・マーチンも歌っていた。

黒人のグループ Four KnightsのLPに入っているバス、Oscar Broadwayのソロは低音の魅力で少年時代の私を魅了した。1957年にこのレコードをヤマハで見つけたのだった。

2003年にOz SonsのくりGの低音をフィーチャーした曲を作ってやろうとこの曲を取り上げた。そこで、サンプル・コーラスをレコーディングした。朝、早起きして低音のパートを歌った。くりGは自分の出番の持ち歌が出来て喜びました。

4年後の2007年、横浜BarBarBarのライブで初演を試みた。案の定、歌詞を覚えていない。W大の先輩、北島さんが怒鳴りましたよ。「くりGは歌詞を覚えろ！」

まこGは二度とこの歌を歌わせようとしなくなり、お蔵入りとなった。（2014/6・video作成）
