Hotel du Louvre

Jan. 1, 2017

In 1862, Japan sent The First Japanese Embassy to Europe. The founder of KEIO School, Yukichi FUKUZAWA was included as a member of the embassy.

They stayed at Hotel du Louver in Paris at that time.

I had been to Keio School from the Elemnatary School to University and Graduate School of Engineering. We learned Fukuzawa's telling for long time

When I participated IFORS(International Federation of Operations Research Societies) Meeting at Lisbon in 1993, I planed to stay one night at Hotel du Louvre on the way back to Tokyo. This Hotel was built in 1855.

As usual, this is "New year's drawing for 2017".
