1958年、高校3年の時、フォー・フレッシュメン（Group #3）が歌っていたのです。レコードのライナーノーツには、Newman/Jonesとだけしか書いてありません。後々まで分からないままでした。

In 1958, I heard the Four Freshmen(group #3) sang when I was a highschool boy. Only this song was writen by Newman/Jones in the linernotes of LP. I couldn't understand who wrote.

1990年頃に、Dolly Bakerが”It Had To Be You”をよく歌って聴かせてくれました。この歌はIsham Jonesの初期の歌で1924年に出しています。私もDollyのバージョンで歌いました。それから何年かして、ふと「もしかしてJonesってIsham Jonesのことではないか？」と、脳みそが言い出しました。それが当たりだったのです。

Around 1990, Dolly Baker used to sing "It Had To Be You" for me. This was composed by Isham Jones in 1924. My brain said to me if Jones means Isham Jones. It was correct answer.
